So, after another fab 12.5 hr flight from Dubai to Melbourne and a 1 hr hop to Canberra we were met by our very good friends Ruth & Michael, accompanied by a thunderstorm, at 4.30 pm 😎

We were then treated to a 1 hour tour of the “city in the park” where we met some of the locals..

After a cracking meal we then had a wee walk around the neighbourhood where we heard very noisy crickets and watched 10s of flying fox fruit bats soar overhead not far from pink & grey parrots🤗. Definitely in Australia!

Finally, to help stave off the jet lag – that’s our excuse – we joined our hosts in the spa beside their pool….it doesn’t get much better for your 1st day in the Southern Hemisphere😎. G’day Folks😊
