Friday 22 December

Today we awoke to a glorious blue sky with the promise – kept – that the day would peak at 24 C and this view from our room😎

A relaxed morning was then interrupted when Michael realized Sophia’s flight was 30 mins ahead of schedule, necessatating a quick dash to the airport!

All introductions made to The Matildas’ next No.6 we set off on a 40 km drive to the spectacular Tidbinbilla Nature reserve with Calum taking the opportunity to drive part of the way in a 25 year old iconic Holden Commodore Executive Sedan😊

This was definitely a “game of 2 halves” with the 1st half leading us through the awe inspiring wetland Sanctuary 😊 I’ll let the following images speak for themselves…

…check out the difference between Scottish and Aussie skin😊

This immensely inspiring “1st half” over we took a wee jaunt to an 11ha enclosure for the “2nd half”…

WARNING: The following images are completely off the Cute Factor Scale 😍

This is Dad and his partner recently gave birth to Joey, but Mum’s sister seems to have adopted the wee one as her own, leaving Mum a tad put out🤔

We felt hugely privileged to have met these Koalas, which are now an endangered species unfortunately…

Leaving in 2 cars the “Boy Team” headed for a wee tour of Canberra heading to the summit of Black Mountain and it’s huge BT Mast.

After yet another amazing meal from our hosts we finally got round to some Christmas wrapping….with the most appropriate paper you could imagine🎅🏾

Yet another spectacular day in this beautiful country of stunning scenery and wildlife😊

  1. Another fabulous day. And if you bring back enough of that wrapping paper you could just about cover the cost of the trip 😉
