Wednesday 10 January 24

Knowing today was our last in this idyllic place we decided, partly as the weather seemed to turning less good, to have a slow “catch your breath” type day, do some more planning and try to consolidate all the photos we had taken on 2 mobiles and 1 DSLR…of which there were hundreds!

It would also give us the chance to chill and check out more of this vast site

Today there was far more helicopter activity… Julie suggested that maybe they’d gone to do their messages!

And so it would appear, withย  relentless rounds of Up, Up & Away while we tried to work out how to transfer over 650 photos from Julie’s new camera to my new laptop using the new gizmo she’d been given for that very task!

The pressure was definitely on..

… but not a bad setting for the tech challenge!

Having stayed at many campsites over the years you realize they vary immensely. This one had some particularly nice features..

State of the art shower block – with landscaping ๐Ÿ˜‰
A very Kiwi mural in the very large communal lounge – with charging points by the hat full!
Noughts & Crosses table using marked pebbles๐Ÿ˜‰
Huge gas powered BBQ tables free to anyone to use – nice ๐Ÿ™‚
Tasks all done, the weather turned for the better just as we began toย  think about our last meal here..

It was at this point I came into my own..

Haute Cuisine, n’est-ce pas?
…et the soleil brillait encore une fois๐Ÿ˜Ž

Satisfied we were now ready to hit the road again the next day, we turned in early – as I had a blog to update!
